I fell over on my bike while clipped in! I told my padre I was more coordinated on a bike than walking, which is still true. I was on my bike trying to get the gate open so I could get out and go for a ride. I thought my pedal was flipped over so that I couldn't clip in, but it wasn't. My shoe decided it wanted to clip in just as I needed my foot to stop me from falling. So that was the first time I fell. Then, 4ish steps later when I was shutting the gate, it happened on the other side. Pretty much same thing. So to all those that I have laughed at when they clipped out left and fell right, I still laugh at you and now I laugh next to you. Joy.
Once I finally did get to riding, it was a great ride. For once I had gotten out and back before the sun went down completely. It was a beautiful sunset! Perfect weather! I rode about 18 miles, to Belmont and some backroads of doom. So many freakin bugs!!!! Ewww! The entire time I was biking I had Hillsong United's song The Stand stuck in my head; I just didn't know all of the lyrics. But it's an awesome song! So awesome that the lyrics will be the next thing on this post of joy.
"The Stand"
by Hillsong United
You stood before creation
Eternity within Your hand
You spoke the earth into motion
My soul now to stand
You stood before my failure
Carried the Cross for my shame
My sin weighed upon Your shoulders
My soul now to stand
So what can I say
What can I do
But offer this heart O God
Completely to You
So I'll walk upon salvation
Your Spirit alive in me
This life to declare Your promise
My soul now to stand
So what can I say
What can I do
But offer this heart O God
Completely to You
So I’ll stand
With arms high and heart abandoned
In awe of the One who gave it all
So I’ll stand
My soul Lord to You surrendered
All I am is Yours
Love this song!!!! No matter what the circumstance is, no matter what I'm going through or dealing with, no matter what kind of junk gets brought to the table, I'm going to stand with my arms raised up and my heart open and ready for God to come in. I'll stand in amazement and awe of my Creator. I surrender my all to my God, my everything. He is my purpose, my reason for living. Without Him I am nothing. He took my fall.
